Josh Larson wins the 2006 California State Championships

Josh Larsen captured his first California State Championship during an exciting and action-packed evening at Industry Hills Speedway.
Larsen overcame a first round nightmare by collecting four straight wins and ending his evening with 13 points, enough to secure the title and the beautiful grandfather clock awarded to the winner.  Four-time State Champion Mike Faria defeating Tommy Hedden in a runoff for second place after both riders tied with 12 points. Next Saturday July 15, at the California State Championships

The top racers will be going for the coveted title and by far the coolest 1st
place trophy ever...A FULL SIZE GRANDFATHER CLOCK!! over 6 1/2 feet tall! you have got to see it.

The championship program will start at 7:oo pm, and with the incredible  multi line racetrack we have...we are sure to see some intense bar bangin' racing!

Spectator gate will open at 5:oo, tickets are $15 adults, and $9 for  seniors and juniors.

Sign up and pit gate will be open at 4:30 pm, NO RIDERS WILL BE LET IN
BEFORE SIGN UP OPENS, AND EVERYBODY THAT ENTERS PIT IS SIGNED IN.

Each rider on the program will receive 1 pass.

We will not be accepting our regular VIP Passes, or any 2 for 1 coupons. We also still have program advertising spots available.

YOU WONT WANT TO MISS THIS RACE! ITS SURE TO BE ANOTHER AWESOME NIGHT.

Great news...extreme sidecars will be back in action at The Grand!!
After many weeks of muffler testing, Scott Brant of Dominator Designs, was able to build a mechanical muffler that is well below the DB level
needed in the surrounding neighborhood. We will have sidecars at the California State Championship next Saturday July 15, for some exhibition races. All the sidecar racers are real excited about being able to race at our top notch racetrack, as are many fans that inquire each and every week...

Tommy Hedden ended one winning streak and began one of his own with a clean sweep which included a victory in the First Division Main Event on Laidlaw's Harley Davidson Night at Industry Hills Speedway.        Charlie "The Edge" Venegas entered the main with a fourteen-race winning streak that included the last two main events.  Venegas drew the pole and used it to take the lead entering turn one.  Venegas held the lead on the first lap, but Hedden switched his attack to the outside in turn one of the second lap and made a big run that put him alongside the leader on the back straight.  Hedden pulled ahead as they entered turn three and stayed wide before dropping in front of Venegas on lap three.  Hedden showed that he was equally adept at riding the inside as he held off Venegas the rest of the way for the victory.  Buck Blair was third and Eddie Castro finished fourth.
